OM Movie: New Poster Names AGS Cinemas for Dhanush, Mammootty Film’s Tamil Nadu Release

A new promotional poster for OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood names AGS Cinemas as the film’s Tamil Nadu theatrical rights holder. The artwork shared on 28 October 2026 adds a distribution update for the Dhanush–Mammootty film ahead of its scheduled 20 November release. It announces the Tamil Nadu rights association but does not disclose the arrangement’s financial terms.

The Dhanush OM movie is written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, with Dhanush also involved in production through Wunderbar Films. The latest development concerns the film’s release in Tamil Nadu; its November theatrical date was announced earlier this month.

The new artwork uses a dark red-and-black palette, with an axe embedded in a tree stump as rain falls across the image. AGS Cinemas is displayed prominently on the wood, beneath text announcing that it has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights. The film title, key production credits, and the date “20.11.26” are also visible.

This is a distribution-focused poster rather than a fresh release-date announcement. It does not reveal the number of screens planned for the state, the value of the theatrical-rights deal or when advance bookings might begin. No separate statement detailing those commercial terms was available for independent verification at the time of this update.

Another promotional design pairs Dhanush and Mammootty in a largely monochrome, red-splashed setting. Both are pictured holding handguns, with the date displayed prominently behind them. The image establishes the importance of the two stars to the film’s publicity, but it does not explain their characters’ relationship or reveal the storyline.

Rajkumar Periasamy, whose previous directorial was Amaran, is bringing Dhanush and Mammootty together for this Tamil project. Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela are also in the cast, alongside Naseeruddin Shah and Indrans. The sizeable ensemble brings performers associated with several Indian film industries into the same production.

The film is backed by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and RTake Studios, with Shraddha Agrawal and Azmat Jagmag named among its producers. Sai Abhyankkar is handling the music, Ezhil Arasu K is the cinematographer, and R. Kalaivanan is the editor. These credits give a clearer picture of the team, while the new AGS artwork adds a separate piece of information about the Tamil Nadu theatrical rollout.

The promotional campaign has continued in the run-up to release. A character-focused video unveiled on 26 October introduced Sai Pallavi as Nithya Reddy. The distributor announcement, however, offers no new character or plot details, and its axe-and-timber imagery should not be mistaken for a confirmed story synopsis.

📅 OM remains scheduled for 20 November 2026

OM was initially expected in cinemas on 16 October 2026. Dhanush subsequently announced that the film would move away from that date to avoid clashing with Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which was set for 15 October. He also said the team would not target the Deepavali period, when Suriya’s Scene already had a theatrical release planned.

The makers announced 20 November 2026 as the revised date on 2 October, and the same date appears on both posters supplied with this update. The fresh AGS Cinemas artwork therefore concerns Tamil Nadu distribution, not another change to the release calendar.
