Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde’s Sri Sri Wraps Overseas Schedule
Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde’s upcoming romantic drama Sri Sri has completed its overseas shooting schedule. The makers confirmed the update through a new announcement, adding that the film is being prepared for a theatrical release later this year.
An official release date has not been revealed yet. However, the production team has indicated that the announcement will be made soon.
The latest update is an important step for Sri Sri, which is shaping up as one of Dulquer Salmaan’s notable multilingual releases. The film was previously referred to as DQ41, marking the 41st project in the actor’s career, before the makers officially announced the title in July.
Sri Sri Brings Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde Together
Sri Sri marks the first on-screen collaboration between Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde.
The promotional material released so far presents the film as an emotional romantic entertainer. Its tagline, “Love Will Spark Again,” suggests that the story may explore memories, relationships and the possibility of rediscovering love.
However, the makers have not officially disclosed the complete storyline.
The title announcement poster showed Dulquer and Pooja sharing a cheerful moment while dressed in school uniforms. That image created curiosity about whether the film will follow its central characters across different stages of their lives.
The overseas schedule update further indicates that the story could have an international setting or include portions taking place outside India. Details about the filming locations and the sequences completed during this schedule have not been revealed.
Strong Supporting Cast for Sri Sri
Apart from Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde, Sri Sri features Dheekshith Shetty in an important role.
The supporting cast also includes Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh and Sachin Khedekar. With several experienced performers joining the project, the film appears to have a wider emotional and family-driven backdrop rather than functioning only as a conventional love story.
Sri Sri is directed by Ravi Nelakuditi and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner. The project is also the production house’s tenth film.
GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music. His involvement has added further interest to the soundtrack, especially after his successful musical association with Dulquer Salmaan in Lucky Baskhar.
Anay Om Goswamy is handling the cinematography, while veteran editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is overseeing the editing. Avinash Kolla is responsible for the production design.
Bomma Bomma Introduced the Film’s Romantic Mood
The makers recently began the film’s musical promotions with Bomma Bomma, the first single from Sri Sri.
The song continued the nostalgic and youthful mood introduced through the title poster. Rather than presenting the film as a loud commercial romance, the early promotional campaign has focused on warm memories, companionship and emotionally familiar moments.
This approach suits Dulquer Salmaan, who has built a strong audience across Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema. His ability to move naturally between languages has also helped films such as Sita Ramam and Lucky Baskhar reach viewers beyond their original markets.
Pooja Hegde’s presence gives Sri Sri additional visibility across Telugu and Tamil audiences. The film also marks her return to a full-fledged Telugu leading role after a noticeable gap.
Sri Sri Release Date Announcement Expected Soon
Sri Sri is being planned as a multilingual theatrical release. The film is expected to arrive in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, although the makers are yet to confirm whether all versions will release simultaneously.
With the overseas schedule now completed, attention will turn towards the remaining production work, teaser launch and release date announcement.
The pairing of Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde is currently the film’s biggest attraction. But the experienced supporting cast, GV Prakash Kumar’s music and the nostalgic romantic presentation suggest that Sri Sri may be aiming for an emotional story with appeal across different age groups.
More clarity about the film’s plot and release plans is expected when the makers begin the next phase of promotions.
