OTT Releases This Week (November 5–7, 2026): Meesaya Murukku 2, I’m Game and Dilwali Diwali
Hiphop Tamizha Adhi’s Meesaya Murukku 2 and Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game lead the OTT releases this week, both arriving on Friday, November 6. The Diwali watchlist starts a day earlier on Netflix with Dilwali Diwali, in which a son buys his parents a new flat without asking the one question that matters: do they want to move?
Thursday, November 5: Two films made for streaming
Dilwali Diwali (Hindi) — Watch on Netflix. Mihir Ahuja plays Ansh, who comes home for Diwali expecting his gift to make his parents’ lives easier. Manoj Pahwa and Neelu Kohli play the couple for whom the old home is hardly a problem that needs solving. At just over an hour, this family drama fits between festive visits. It premiered on Netflix rather than in cinemas.
Balu Geetha (Telugu) — Open ETV Win. Balu would rather avoid marriage altogether, but his parents persuade him to meet Geetha. Director Pratap Kollareddy is more interested in what happens after the wedding than in whether the couple makes it to the mandap. Sandeep Saroj and Keyuri Shah drew early praise for their easy chemistry, even where the marital misunderstandings tested reviewers’ patience. This, too, is a direct OTT release.
Friday, November 6: Tamil and Malayalam OTT highlights
Meesaya Murukku 2 (Tamil) — SonyLIV
For Gaana singer Jeeva, getting heard outside North Chennai is a family ambition, not just his own. Adhi plays three generations of musicians. His scenes with Ramya Ranganathan as Vaani in the family flashback drew particular praise, though reviews were divided over how neatly the film turns the music industry’s barriers into a fight with a villain.
The musical opened on September 25 and grossed an estimated ₹48 crore worldwide by early November. It comes to SonyLIV in five languages, including Tamil. Its cinema run carried into November 5; check local showtimes on BookMyShow before making plans, as screenings are limited.
I’m Game (Malayalam) — JioHotstar
Dulquer plays Dan John, a gambler whose life becomes entangled with that of a cricketer after a hand transplant. Antony Varghese’s turn as Vicky was a talking point when Nahas Hidhayath’s film opened on September 3. Even reviewers who found the long flashback slowed the thriller singled out the feeling he brought to the role. The film took an estimated ₹48 crore worldwide, short of the expectations around Dulquer’s return to Malayalam cinema.
Find I’m Game on JioHotstar in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. Eligible Airtel subscribers can also use the film’s Xstream Play listing.
Nooru Kodi Vaanavil (Tamil) — ZEE5
Harish Kalyan plays Vino, a television presenter looking for a fresh face for his show in Goa. He finds Fenny, played by Siddhi Idnani, but the relationship that follows is rather less straightforward than a casting call. Four years after its first teaser, Sasi’s romance finally reaches audiences on ZEE5 without a theatrical run. Here’s more on the film’s long wait for release.
More films for the Diwali weekend
Last Man in Tower (Hindi, November 6) — View on ZEE5. Here’s a sharper double bill with Dilwali Diwali: another man who won’t leave his home, only this time the neighbours stand to lose money if he stays. Manoj Bajpayee plays the retired Mumbai teacher holding up a redevelopment deal; Boman Irani plays the developer. The September release made little headway at the box office, but Bajpayee earned praise for making the teacher’s stubbornness both understandable and uncomfortable.
The Grand Master (Tamil, November 6) — Search Sun NXT. Abarnathi plays a sanitation worker whose son Nandhan wants to play competitive chess. Their relationship divided theatrical reviewers in September: some responded to the mother’s determination, while others felt the film put the pair through one hardship too many.
ICU: Until the Last Breath (Malayalam, November 6) — Search Sun NXT. An intensive care unit is the one place the people in George Varghese’s thriller cannot simply walk away from each other. Bibin George, Baburaj and Murali Gopy lead the cast as a family emergency brings old enmities back to the surface.
7 Star Boys (Tamil dub, Diwali weekend) — Open aha. For a Saturday watch with younger football fans, this is the Tamil version of the Malayalam film Aanaparambile World Cup, not a new sequel. Seven village boys need somewhere to practice before they can even think about winning a tournament. Antony Varghese and former Indian footballer I. M. Vijayan feature in the cast.
