Ajith Kumar’s next Tamil film, DareDevil, marked an important production milestone with a traditional pooja ceremony in Chennai on Monday, 2 November 2026. The Ajith Kumar Daredevil pooja brought producer Shalini Ajith Kumar, director Adhik Ravichandran and members of the team together, with photographs from the event offering a look at the launch of the actor’s 64th film.

The film is backed by Shalini Ajith under Bravehearts Production LLP, marking her first feature as a producer. It also reunites Ajith with Adhik after their 2025 Tamil film Good Bad Ugly.

Director Adhik Ravichandran and music composer Anirudh Ravichander were among those present. Actors Sreeleela, Unni Mukundan, R. Parthiban, Prabhu, Sunil, and Redin Kingsley were also at the ceremony, bringing together several names linked to the project. The film’s individual character details have not been fully revealed.

Although Ajith Kumar’s image dominated the event backdrop, the actor was not present at the pooja, as launch coverage confirmed.

The production house’s red-and-gold branding was displayed prominently during the launch. Its presence alongside the film’s title underlines that Bravehearts is the company backing DareDevil, rather than simply being associated with the promotional event.

DareDevil is Ajith Kumar’s second collaboration with Adhik Ravichandran, who is writing and directing the project. The film’s title was unveiled earlier this year when it was still widely referred to as AK64, the actor’s 64th movie.

Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music. The announced technical team also includes cinematographer Abinandhan Ramanujam, editor Vijay Velukutty, and action choreographer Supreme Sundar, with Suren handling sound design. These names give the film a defined crew even as the storyline and the characters remain under wraps.

The first-look material shows Ajith in a white suit and sunglasses beside a dice-themed title design. That visual identity has been carried into the launch-event backdrop, but it does not establish the film’s genre or plot.

The distinction between the launch ceremony and regular shooting is important. The September promotional campaign had identified 2 November as the date when work would begin. In a later interview, however, Adhik discussed a plan to start filming in Hyderabad on 12 November 2026, after reconsidering the Chennai schedule because of rain.

The earlier Daredevil cast and shooting update explained the proposed Hyderabad start. Today’s photographs confirm that the pooja took place on 2 November; they do not, on their own, establish that principal photography with Ajith began the same day.

For now, the theatrical release date, full character line-up, and official plot details remain undisclosed. With the production launch completed, the next meaningful update will be confirmation of the regular filming schedule and further details from the team.
