Leo is an upcoming Tamil movie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Lalit Kumar, featuring Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, and Arjun.

The movie has huge expectations, as director Lokesh is coming after the Blockbuster Vikram and joining with Vijay who’s one of the top stars in Tamil cinema.

The movie’s trailer was released on Oct 5, 2023, at 6.30 pm IST. The trailer is getting a good number of views.

After some hours. there’s the tag “Disappointed” that was trending on Twitter. Fans of actor Vijay are disappointed with the Trailer. VFX, Vijay’s character, performance looks average. Also, another factor pointed out here, it resembles the remake of the Hollywood movie “History of Violence (2005)”. History violence story is similar to the Tamil blockbuster Baasha (1995).

Leo vs History of Violence:

History of Violence was a 2005 action film directed by David Cronenberg and written by Josh Olson. It is an adaptation of the 1997 graphic novel of the same title by John Wagner and Vince.

The plot is as follows Tom Stall, a cafe owner who lives in the small town with his wife Edie and his two children. One night, two spree killers enter Tom’s restaurant, threaten those inside, and sexually assault one of his employees. Tom kills them and is hailed a hero by the surroundings, while the incident makes national news. A few days later, Tom is visited by a man named Carl Fogarty, who alleges that Tom is actually Joey Cusack, a former gangster with the Irish Mob in Philadelphia. Tom denies this, but Carl remains persistent and begins to stalk him which follows the remaining story and how Tom escapes from them.

We have to wait till October 19, 2023, to confirm if it resembles HOV 100% or some portions.
